Face Wash

A face wash is a foamy solution that is used to remove deep-seated filth and grime, leaving you feeling fully clean and refreshed.

Face washes are designed to remove impurities, germs, dirt and makeup that can irritate the skin. Here’s the tough part: when skin is cleansed too frequently, in contact with water or subject to harsh soaps, your skin’s natural moisture is stripped—leaving it vulnerable to dryness and irritation.

As the first step in your skin-care routine, face wash plays a very important role in keeping your skin balanced. Too harsh of a cleanser can strip the skin of precious natural oils, while too light of one won’t effectively wash away extra sebum and product residue, especially if your complexion leans oily.

Cleansing twice a day can prove too much for some — especially if it’s too aggressive or using products that aren’t quite right. Generally though, a gentle wash morning and night is fine.
